Challenges

Before adopting Partron ESL solutions, EDION had to print and replace paper price tags every time product prices changed. This required significant time and effort, and issues such as labor shortages and pricing errors further complicated store operations. To improve efficiency and ensure centralized control of its nationwide stores, EDION sought a system that could support both sales growth and operational excellence.

Solution

EDION selected Partron ESL for its centralized server architecture, high-performance communication gateways, and the flexibility of its layout designer. With a single server capable of managing up to 2,000 stores, the solution was especially appealing for EDION, which operates more than 400 stores. Unlike traditional paper POP materials that required separate printing for each product, Partron’s layout designer enabled highly visible, easily editable, and customizable digital displays—removing limitations of conventional signage.

Results

With automated price management, the workload of replacing and updating paper tags was dramatically reduced. Store employees could now focus more on customer service and sales activities instead of repetitive tasks. The system also minimized pricing errors and ensured data accuracy, while the stability and scalability of the central server were validated through both pilot tests and full-scale operations. As a result, EDION achieved proven improvements in both operational efficiency and sales performance, leading to a rollout that was expanded by approximately 1.25 times the original plan. Today, EDION is moving beyond simple price displays and actively exploring the use of InforTab Plus digital signage and medium-to-large ESL displays to replace various types of in-store POP materials.
