Challenges

Migross has begun its digital transformation journey by adopting Partron ESL’s IoT technology, starting with the first installation at its Cash & Carry stores, with plans to expand across eight locations. Future rollouts will focus on the HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) channel, particularly in Central Italy, where Migross and Partron ESL aim to continue their collaborative growth.

Solution

By implementing Partron ESL’s centralized server system, Migross headquarters can now manage all store pricing information in one place. The highly stable and scalable InforTab server supports various store departments—including produce, frozen goods, wine, and pet supplies—ensuring smooth and efficient operations. With InforTab, all product labels have been digitized, allowing efficient management. The LED flashing function also enables a Pick & Collect solution, helping staff quickly and accurately locate items, reducing operation times and improving productivity.

Results

Alessandro Miro, Logistics Manager and Cash & Carry Project Lead at Migross, expressed strong satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration with Partron ESL. ICT Manager Carlo Parmegiani, after visiting the installation sites, also highlighted the significant improvements in operational efficiency: “We are very satisfied with Partron ESL electronic shelf labels, which have greatly improved store efficiency.” Migross is currently finalizing a Click & Collect service using InforTab with multi-color LED features, scheduled for public launch by the end of February. This innovation will make grocery collection much simpler for store employees and cut task time by half.
