Traditional hospital room signage and patient name cards faced significant difficulties in real-time management due to frequent bed movements within wards. Nurses were burdened with the manual task of replacing and updating signs to reflect changes in patient and clinical information during admissions and discharges. Furthermore, mislabeling patient data posed a severe risk of medical errors, making the reliability of displayed information a critical challenge.
Aiming to realize a "Smart Hospital" vision, Changwon Hanmaeum Hospital adopted Patron ESL's InfoTab to prevent unnecessary labor waste and ensure efficient ward operations. Through InfoTab, the hospital provides real-time information such as the patient's department, blood type, and attending physician. Additionally, QR codes are utilized to manage clinical data and treatment history in real-time. Even when bed movements occur within a room, the system promptly updates the admission status and displays it on the InfoTab instantly.
The Electronic Shelf Label (ESL) system, installed at room entrances and bedside, serves as a real-time hospital information guidance system. While nursing staff previously had to manually manage signage for rooms, beds, and consultation rooms, the introduction of InfoTab has enabled integrated and automated management, ensuring greater accuracy and efficiency. This significantly reduced unnecessary man-hours spent on manual tasks, allowing medical staff to focus more on patient care and ultimately enhancing patient satisfaction.
